At least ten persons including five children were killed and another 225 injured while celebrating the Basant (kite-flying) in other parts of Punjab province till Friday night.
Reports reaching here from Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Hujra Shah Muqueem, Sahiwal, Farooqabad and Faisalabad reveal that at least ten persons were killed and 225 hurt while celebrating the Basant.
Mostly were minor children killed or injured in attempting to catch the kites.
At least 15 persons including six children lost their lives when the festival was celebrated in Lahore rising the death toll to 25 and another 300 were injured in Basant related accident on last Sunday.
